Important note regarding vehicle maintenance and warranty coverage.

If you do not meet the minimum maintenance requirements for your vehicle, your vehicle could need costly and inconvenient repairs.  Your New Vehicle Limited Warranty requires that you perform the scheduled maintenance at the times or mileage's shown in your Owner's Manual.  If you do not do so, and your vehicle fails as a result of your failure to maintain your vehicle for up to 100,000 miles, either by routinely having us or another qualified technician record the service performed in your Maintenance Logbook, or by keeping receipts or other documentation of work you've had done on your vehicle in your Maintenance Logbook.  Should you sell your vehicle, this book can be used to show that regular and proper maintenance was performed on your vehicle.  This may make your vehicle more appealing and valuable at resale time.

Hear are a few general maintenance items that should be checked on a regualer basis.  Consult your Maintenance Logbook for a full list of required maintenance items.

At Each Stop for Fuel

-  Check the engine oil level about 5 minutes after a fully warmed engine is shut off.  Checking the oil level while the vehicle is on level ground will improve the accuracy of the oil level reading.  Add oil only when the level is at or below the ADD or MIN mark.

-  Check the windshield washer solvent, add as required.

Once a Month

-  Check the tire pressure and look for unusual wear or damage.

-  Inspect the battery and clean and tighten the terminals as required.

-  Check the fluid levels of the coolant reservoir, Brake master cylinder, power steering, and transmission, and add as needed.

-  Check all lights and all other electrical items for correct operation.
